The fundraising team met recently to plan fundraising projects for the rest of the year. Here are some campaigns that have been launched in the past:
Marathon Donations
Last year, Prakash Ojha ran the Toronto marathon and raised $1130 dollars. He said he was motivated by the chance to use the marathon for a good cause. In 2003, Owen Ozier also ran the Boston marathon and raised over $1000 for the organization.
Restaurant Donations
NCEF has also installed donation boxes in Nepali restaurants in the United States to raise funds for the children the organization supports. NCEF has set up a donation box in Kathmandu Spice located in Arlington, MA in the past. Do let us know if you have any restaurants that may be interested in helping us.
Memorial Donations
Donations for memorials are a big contributor to NCEF fundraising. The Mira Rana Michaud Fund has raised over $37,000 over the last five years.
