Her family is extremely poor and as her father has left her family, they have been supported slightly by her extended family.  She has done pretty well in her studies in the past two years and withour help from NCEF, it will be difficult for her to continue her education.

The financial condition of her family has not improved in the past year.  Poonam has a big family with several siblings and it is extremely difficult for her family to provide for everyone.  She has progressed pretty well academically as well.
