Kumar
Gender: Male Age: 13 years Grade: 5 School: Jana Prabhat Secondary School Kumar has been supported by NCEF for the past few years. His mother and father are separated and he lives with his mother. It is difficult for his single mother to support him for his studies. Financial support from NCEF will be gratefully acknowledged.
Ojima
Gender: Female Age: 15 years Grade: 10 School: Vishwo Niketan Higher Secondary School Ojima has been able to continue her studies because of the support from NCEF. However, since the support was only for the educational supplies, she still had to work as a maid in order to have enough money to pay the tuition bill. Because of the hard work involved, she was not able to concentrate too much in her studies. NCEF is now supporting her even for her tuition and she is able to give more time to her study.
Rojina
Gender: Female Age: 8 years Grade: 4 School: Vishwo Niketan Higher Secondary School Rojina has several siblings and her father has passed away. Her widowed mother has to provide for the entire family which makes it really challenging to allocate mney for education. Rojina is doing quite well in her studies as well and help from NCEF for her further education will be highly appreciated.
Sumaiya
Gender: Female Age: 15 years Grade: 10 School: Annapurna Higher Secondary School Sumaiya is a single child of her parents. Her father is unemployed and her mother helps the famly financially. She has perfromed really well in her studies so far and any support from NCEF towards her education is highly appreciated.
Ujeli
Gender: Female Age: 13 years Grade: 5 School: Jana Prabhat Secondary School Kathmandu, Nepal Ujeli lives in the squatters. area of Kalimati with her mother Sunita and her three brothers. . Her father has left the family and her mother works in a close by vegetable market to make ends meet. Her mother's occupation as a fruit vendor is the family's only source of income and provides only about $20 per month - barely enough to survive. With the help of NCEF, Ujeli has begun attending school with her brothers. Nepalese Children's Education Fund, Inc.
